A dedicated development of our R&D department resulted in new innovative VESTOPLAST® grades with a unique polymer structure. Discover the brand new low viscous polymer for packaging applications designed with a new technology. In low viscosity packaging formulations beneficial properties such as fast set and good adhesion can be obtained with high polymer content and even without tackifier. Our new polymer is fully compatible with FT hard waxes. Excellent hot tack and adhesion is not only given on pure cardboards but also on PP or PE.
With VESTOPLAST® amorphous poly-alpha-olefins (APAO), Evonik offers a broad range of co- and terpolymers of ethene, propene and 1-butene as raw materials for various applications.
Based on the variation of monomer composition, molecular weight and chemical modification, optimum values are achieved for properties like hardness, melt viscosity, crystallinity and rate of crystallization. The production process allows us to offer both predominately amorphous, soft grades as well as harder, partially crystalline grades.
